Jewish Community of Padua (formerly “Comunione”) (1813–1989)
Extent: 591 archival units
The fonds documents the administrative, religious, educational and welfare activities of the Jewish Community of Padua. It includes records relating to the organisation and functioning of the institution, elections, membership, civil status, population registers, burials and abjurations, property management, schools and after-school programmes, as well as assistance to refugees and those persecuted during the Nazi-Fascist period.
The fonds also contains material relating to honours, staff, the Jewish Community of Rovigo, the journal Rassegna mensile Israel, photographs and miscellaneous documents.
