1 December 2025

On Sunday 1 December 2024 at 11:00 am, we look forward to welcoming you at the Jewish Cemetery in Via Wiel, 24 for the official presentation of the podcast:
“STORIES IN STONE: VOICES FROM THE JEWISH CEMETERIES OF PADUA”.
Stories in Stone is a cultural project involving the ancient Jewish cemeteries of Padua, giving voice to significant figures from the past of its Jewish community. Inspired by the “Spoon River Anthology”, rabbis, scholars and political figures come to life to tell their stories. Each narrative weaves together history, traditions and culture, guiding you through a unique and evocative experience.
This will be an opportunity to preview selected excerpts from the project, engage with its creators and discover the deeper meaning behind these stories. The podcast will be available to download via QR codes along the visitor route through the Jewish cemeteries of Padua. Journalist David Parenzo will also take part, having contributed to the creation of the podcast.
Don’t miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the history and culture of Jewish Padua.
History finds its voice – come and experience this special moment!
This project is funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
